Sharply Buffed update #2

Time for a catch up on my Sharply Buffed project for Deep Fried Lard. I'm still working my way through getting them painted to at least  decent standard for the game. As is typical of my own MO I had given very little thought to the project when I originally volunteered to run the game so I had no real idea of what the scenario would be or what size forces I would have to put together.

After some thought (about maybe an hour) I decided that an attacker/defender scenario would be a decent choice as the game would be set in the immediate aftermath o the Battle of Dunbar.

with that very rough idea I have out together the following;;

New Model Army force
The New Model Army force led by Sir Ernest Tadger (the chap on the horse) who commands 4 groups of shotte, two of pike, two skirmisher groups with firelocks, one group of dragoons (mounted and dismounted) and one group of cavalry. I have quite a few options of leaders and I plan on having a play test shortly. In the meantime, there's still some painting to do as you can see.

Covenanters
The Covenanters are led by Sir Miles Betur of Glasgow. His force consist of 3 groups of shotte, two of pike, two of firelock skirmishers, a group of Border Lancers and a multi barrelled frame gun. Again, there's still some painting to do but they should be finished soon, hopefully by the end of the week.

Sir Ernest Tadger and Sir Miles Betur

So, a few more figures then play testing including, quite importantly the terrain layout......and where to put the sheep!!
